We continue to transform language-learning, and we're hiring a Digital Designer to join our New York City team.

About the Role:

As a Digital Designer your goal is to bring the Babbel brand to life creatively. You will concept, execute, and deliver a range of cross-platform creative executions that evoke the Babbel brand and speak to our target consumers. Digital acquisition is a focal point to our marketing strategy, and this role helps us accelerate our efforts across the digital landscape.

Working closely with the Design Director and marketing stakeholders, you will create work that will drive customer awareness and interest in our platform. From top-of-the-funnel brand awareness via clever and engaging creative to bottom-of-the-funnel through-put for subscriber growth, your work will have its imprint at every touch point in a customer's journey with Babbel.

Specific duties include the design development of:

  • Display advertising for digital acquisition across a slew of platforms
  • A range of creative formats including Facebook, Instagram and other social platforms
  • Landing pages for SEM, Podcasts and other campaigns
  • Emails to leads that drive higher engagement, clicks and conversions to subscriptions, and emails to subscribers that improve their retention
  • Maintaining design templates
  • Occasional designs for other formats such as print, on-screen video graphics, presentations and the like

Key job requirements are:

  • At least 3+ years' track record of delivering digital market-ready campaigns
  • Experience in B2C tech company, start-up experience will come in quite handy
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma/Sketch
  • Experience with motion design, animation, and illustration
  • Understanding of design best practices, specifically good UX and responsive web design
  • Disciplined creative thinker who understands the fundamentals of direct response marketing
  • Multilingualism is a plus; strong interest in language is a requirement
